    Neil Young

I love "Comes A Time" and "Harvest" but in my opinion he's at his best when he's rocking with Crazy Horse, and that has nothing to do with Folk music :p

That's hard, Joni has a better voice than Neil but his songs are somewhat deeper. I can't decide! Can't I choose both?!

This is difficult, but Neil wins my vote. I love Joni too.

Neil all the way!! I like Joni, and some of her songs are good, but I love Neil...love that ragged, edgy, high (mostly) voice!

Where it began, I can't begin to knowing
But then I know it's growing strong
    Was in the spring
    Then spring became the summer
Who'd have believed you'd come along

    Hands, touching hands
Reaching out, touching me, touching you

    Chorus

    Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
    I'd be inclined
    To believe they never would
    So good, so good

Look at the night and it don't seem so lonely
We filled it up with only two
    And when I hurt
    Hurting runs off my shoulder
How can I hurt when I'm holding you

    One, touching one
Reaching out, touching me, touching you

this thread is not about neil diamond

anyway neil young gets my vote, infact I am absolutly obsessed with neil young, I think hes one of the best song writers ever. from back in the mynah birds (rick james was his bassist) to buffalo springfield to crosby, stills, nash and young to all his solo work with and without crazy horse, neil young is amazing.
