Guelph

Hi there,

I'm new to the forums and I'm moving to Guelph, Ontario next month... thought I would post a thread and see if anyone else on here is from around there?

im not but a good friend of mine is.. so ive been there a few times he actually kinda lives between guelph and kitchener in rockwood on a farm... its nice

 

I've spent some time there and have a couple of friends who live there. It's a fun place with a good bar and music scene, unfortunately there are alot of assholes on account of the university. But they have this schoolbus that comes around the bar strip late at night and drives the drunken people back toward the school for free. Thats genius!

 

I spend quite a bit of time in the kitchner, guelph area

 

I just about moved to guelph this september, but because of finances and relationship issues that plan fizzled

but I have lots of friends out there, most going to U Guelph, and I havn't completely given up on the idea of moving there, it's not a bad place...for Ontario

Doesn't Dan Aykyryryoyd live out there?

 

Dan Akroyd lives near Kingston.

Guelph is a cool town for sure, one of Canada's hippie havens.

 

I spend lots of time in Guelph... great little spot. Anyone else love eating at "Curry in a Hurry"? hehe... Jazz festival every year is a must-see...so much fun. I can't wait to go back! Like yovo said, it's a great place...for Ontario. lol
This thread is old...so in 2007, is anyone else from Guelph?
