public enemy is in there, but theres other more musical stuff. Jurassic five ish stuff.. i cant really say any more with any authority.
Jurassic 5 FOR FUCKING SURE Public Enemey 2pac (in my opinion, greatest rapper there's been. Some are turned off because of the shit he talks about (drugs, women, shooting peeps, but what rapper doesnt?) but fact of the matter his writing was so brilliant and deep. He layed it on the table just like it went down.
and dont trust any of us, btw. xcept me of course. what the hell are you asking hippies about rap for anyway.. are you krazy?
J5 is too early for 94... J5 didnt roll around til late 90s... NWA was the start of the whole "gangsta rap" scene...
J5 - first lp, 1998 damn, i couldnt even get that right.. see, dont trust this canadians advice on rap..
werd.... Snow is still a big rapper in canada... kinda tough to trust anything that comes from there... dont get me wrong... canada has some good rappers.. i like Kardinal Offishall
i think the early 90s is when rap had the athelete invasion as well... Shaq released an album.. so did chris webber i believe.. and Deion Sanders... think there might be a few others as well
ok, even I know Vanilla Ice and Marky Mark were jokes. He was a great interview: vocal, assured, knowledgeable. I even sort of like his stuff, esp. Slow Down Gandhi and Jah didn't kill Johnny. my kid is laughing at me. Thanks for the help. I'll post the article as soon as it hits the press.
