Forget 30 minutes. That's far too ambitious.

    Yeah.

In autogenics the first excercise you do it concentrate on the phrase "my right arm is heavy" for 12 seconds.

It's that amount of time because that's the amount they figured your average beginner can do.

if you are gonna do yoga you have to be serious about it, it's not really only about the yoga itself, it's the way you live when you don't do it. yoga can help change bad habits. but it takes focus and dicipline. If you are seriuos about yoga: no meat. alkohol, sometimes. Cigarettes, it's up to you, but really no. And yoga is not some kinda gym.... it's about energies, so: no eating before or after yoga( 2 hours before and 2 hours after), because you can get bad energies and and end up with a heavier addiction/bad temper/stress or whatever is the problem.

with money and time constraints I would reccomend getting some good DVD's. It's much cheaper than going to studio sessions and you can practice whenver you have free time.

I'm very happy with Mark Blanchard's Progressive Power Yoga DVDs. I read about it in Fitness magazine, where they said it was the best yoga video out there. It's def. the most challenging and informative video that I've tried so far. I'm not sure if you can find it in stores tho. I bought mine off his website-

yeah, you do have to be pretty serious about it and concentrate on your breathing especially if youre just starting.
