Would a dose of ASA invoke a trip? Just wondering.

No, a regular dose of ASA (aka aspirin) would not induce anything other than pain relief, stomach bleeding, and anti-coagulation ("blood thinning").

A large dose of ASA would cause a lot of stomach bleeding, ringing in the ears, and permanent hearing loss.
