Does anyone here have any information on this band, and is anyone a fan? I only know of them through the Nuggets II box set. The box set features one awesome Winston's Fumbs song, "Real Crazy Apartment." I'd like to get my hands on some more of the band's music, if it's available.

By the way, feel free to use this thread to discuss Nuggets bands, if you wish. [IMG]

i find "real crazy appartment" so sound kind of annoying myself.

mind you "bat macumba" is probably the worst song on the nuggets 2 box. or "im just a mops"

Honestly? For some reason, I really like it. It's kind of different, I guess, but there's something about it I like.

From the book "A Tapestry of Delights":

Winston formed this outfit after Jimmy Winston and His Reflections. Snow White is full of psychedelic undertones and well worth a listen. You'll also find it on Chocolate Soup For Diabetics, Vol. 2 and the Chocolate Soup (CD). The manic 'A' side Real Crazy Apartment is pretty good too.

After their demise, Winston went on to appear in 'Hair'. He'd earlier appeared with The Small Faces in the movie "Dateline Diamonds" (1965) singing I've Got Mine. Tony Kaye later joined Yes and appeared on their first three albums.

Hmm, interesting information. Thanks, Toon. I'll have to track down "Snow White" somehow.

The Mops were pretty cool..That whole 1960s/70s japanese thing produced some amazing looking/sounding records..The Tigers,The Ox,The Spiders (why all the animal names???) and later bands like Flied Egg (great name) Too Much, Apryl Fool and Flower Travellin' Band whose lp Satori is brilliant
