thats because you stopped being humurous and just became plain inconsiderate.

Im SO sorry Pabsy, I love cats so much and a pet can become just as dear to a person as their own children. Just give yourself time to grieve, and remember it was all for the best.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
Putting my dog Sam down years ago was the hardest loss of my life.
I still miss him and will see him at The Rainbow Bridge Someday.
    Hugs.

    The Rainbow Bridge
    inspired by a Norse legend
By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.

For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.

No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.

They romp through the grass, without even a care,
Until one day they start, and sniff at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back,
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.

    For just at that instant, their eyes have met;
Together again, both person and pet.
So they run to each other, these friends from long past,
The time of their parting is over at last.

The sadness they felt while they were apart,
Has turned into joy once more in each heart.
They embrace with a love that will last forever,
And then, side-by-side, they cross over… together.

He was a Mutt. Husky and Golden Retriever.
He was with us for 14 years and I had him before my three children were born.
He was very protective of all my kids.
He developed Cancer and it was so hard putting him down but was in so much pain.
I could not do what you did and did not stay for the injection.
I have lost many friends and family over the years.
But losing him was the hardest.
Our pets are so in tune with unconditional love and give so much to us.
We may someday learn buy their examples. Peace

thanks bedlam....:) just a couple off days ago i was looking at a dog at the rescue centre...a beautiful stray called Kobi... but now i dont know...do i really want to ever go through this again... have to think about that.... and OZ...youre right too... i was a bit fragile when HHB said that... but i respect that he doesnt feel the same attachment to animals..

no matter how many times i see an animal in pain or distressed it doesnt get any easier... i dont think i want to become hardened to an animals suffering or the loss i feel when anyones pet dies...

I feel so sad for you PABSY, I went through the same thing myself . I cried for weeks, I relate to that feeling of emptiness that you felt. I had pets all my life but this one really devastated me. Take some time before you replace your pet, because it won't be the same. Peace and love to you !

    Pabsy,

I am sorry you lost your furry little friend. It is such a sad thing to lose a fellow creature after all of the time of happy companionship you enjoyed together.

It always seemed to me that being a cat would be a wonderfully playful, sensual and graceful way to experience ten or twenty years of living. Of course, you want it to last longer, but the time you have . . .

If you feel a loss at its ending, then it must have been a good life, and that is always something worthy of celebration.

    Peace and Love

    ((((((((((((((((((((((((((pabsy)))))))))))))))))))))))))

i told you about my doberman, but i'll tell you allittle more here
shed found a cat on a street corner who was hit by a car & was lying thre twitching & dying, she was licking the poor cat & when it was almost hit again she gently carried it to the sidewalk & sat there licking it while i tried desperately to find its owner..i couldnt & when i came back, the cat & my dobs eyes were locked on eachother & there wa a sence of confort there.. like the poor cat was glad to have her there i felt so horrible & helpless to do anything, but my dog had the compassion to help

2 weeks later on the exact same corner, i had been at a freinds house when her & her boyfreind got into a huge fight..this girl was also freinds with my dog.. & she ran out of the house with her boyfreind chasing after & yelling
my dob ran after them to make sure she wa ok..crossing the corner where the cat died 2 weeks earlier, a van ran the light & seemed to swerve top purposly hiit her & didnt stop
a passing ambulance actualy voluntarily helpd me get her to the vet hospitol, where they tried to save her for hours
i sat outside meditating because they wouldnt let me inside.. but i could tell she knew i was there..there came a momment i was just overcome with a flood of emotion, & i stood up to go check on her, just as the vet was comming out to tell me shee had died on the table

my point is, i know it was hard on you, but rest assured that when the time had come, she appreciated you being there to help her & hold her & ease her through
& if shed been suffering i believe she may be thankful you were there when that suffering came to an end

i think now you & your daughter need to just hold eachother & heal

    hugs
