oasis and the beatles, oasis and the rolling stones, oasis and almost every other "oasis sounds like ____" comparison i've heard. obviously those people have never even listened to oasis and hate them simply because they are the single most popular and successful band of the last 11 years.

 

phish and the grateful dead, syd barrett and bob dylan, jimi hendrix and stevie ray vaughan...

 

definately...they don't even sound remotely alike!

Both these comparisons are very silly - Dylan and Barrett is just a total joke.

 

This really isnt comparing artists but albums by the same band..Alright..Pink Floyd. Everyone over here is all about the wall. You say pink floyd and thats all they know and have ever heard of and think of pink floyd like that because of that one album or movie. Well this is what i think about that. The was is my most hated floyd album. I really dont like it and wont ever sit though it or the movie. Pink Floyd is so much more than the wall. Theres the piper,meddle,animals,wish you were here,dark side, i mean theres so many good ones and the real true essense of pink floyd that they will never know ebcause they wont get past the crappiness of the wall. I know ppl here probably liked the wall but i didnt. I just wish it hadnt become such a marketing explosion because now thats all pink floyd is known for over here. Anyways im rambling. Peace
