Ain't it great that the White House has a direct line to God? What color is that phone anyway? http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,12271,1586978,00.html
The White House is now trying to deny this, although I've also heard him talking this way from other sources.
hmmmmm.... you know when i was going to church all the girls would say how much they love bush and were goign to vote for him because he's godly. i thought that was ludricous. how in the hell do you base political agenda on religious beliefs. we're in the 21st century people. we shoudl try not to elect dictators because we think they'd make good dictators right?... okay sorry....
yikes. though really, you can't seperate religion from politics completely. people DO have beliefs. but i have to say, i'd really like to see a film clip of him saying these things. until then, i think i prefer to sleep at night believing someone made it up. it's just oo creepy.
So when people go to church and discuss their life and what is troubling them..this is a bad thing..taking these words literaly... so waht ?. If it had been ''God told me too drop a nuclear bomb iran/china/india'' Then we might have something to worry about. I think the documentary .. these 'alegations' are made.. is on the BBC on Monday.. i will watch it deffinitly.. it sounds interesting [its not all about these comments].
I'm skeptical too, but if this was true, i think it should be considered as yet another proof of this idiot's insanity.
Who's to say it wont go that far? I, for one, would like to nip the insanity in the bud long before nukes are getting dropped...regular old bombs being dropped because "god wanted it" is bad enough... Plus....was god the guy who told him the WMD were in Iraq? That's why we were there in the first place. I think Bush needs better sources...
most ppl who go to church don't claim to be god's anointed representative on earth, however, and none of them are the president of the united states, which is the big difference. ***
I think that above all, it's incredibly unprofessional of Bush. It would be like a doctor claiming that God told him/her what was wrong with a patient, or a teaching saying that God told them what to teach. I don't care if Bush is religious, but when he brings his beliefs into his job, a job which involves representing millions of non-Christians, he's going too far. There had been allegations that he'd said things like this before, but nobody could ever verify it, and now they can. I can't see why the Palestinian official who was talking to Bush would have made something like this up. There were other people in the room at the time who can back up this official's statement.
i can see why it would be made up. seems like if it WAS made up, it's doing a great job of making bush look like a whack job.
Ever since the start of time Man has been killing and murdering the OTHER side while waving Banners that say......PEACE TO ALL MANKIND!
