I really dig Metallica. I don't really give a crap which albums were best, when they sold out, which songs are the most metal, blah blah blah, I just dig what I dig. There are some songs I like and some songs I don't. My favorites are, "Nothing Else Matters," "Turn The Page" (I may get a lot of flack for that, but I really really like their cover), "Enter Sandman," "Wherever I May Roam," and "Tuesday's Gone." There are just certain songs that appeal to me and a lot of Metallica's stuff does. I'm not really big into metal, so I guess I can't really form an educated opinion based on the members and the stages the band was in when the songs were written or produced. Those are just the songs I like.
dude all of those drinking games are hilarious. i remember seein it on vh1, and lars just wouldn't stop talking about his "feelings" same for james. it seemed kirk wasn't much for talking. and jason was still trying to fit in. right now i'm stuck on welcome home(sanitarium). i've been gettin into em lately.
I like metallica alot! early all the way up to the black album is good after that, it kind of went sour.
harvester of sorrow one seek and destroy battery for whom the bell tolls fade to black master of puppets sanitarium damage inc hit the lights hmmm didnt realize i like so much metalica
I will NEVER forget seeing a Quebecois hesher at the St. Laurent Shopping bus mall in Ottawa with his new METALLICA logo tattoo. Back then everyone was entitled to my opinion (gee, wonder why I got into this internet thing) and I said to him "what if you get older and don't like Metallica anymore?" and he was like "shud da *ck up sokay? Methallica dey rule god dat?" And then they went from Call of Ktulu, Enter Sandman and the good heavy stuff to... well... what they are now. A bunch of metrosexual hasbeens riding their earlier success. They now suck, they are soulless money grubbing bastards and Cliff Burton will one day rise from the grave to kick their collective ass. Not a critique. Metallica will very shortly I'm sure be playing some corporate function - but water down their stuff a bit. Maybe do acoustic versions of their softer classics.
I would have to go with the one Metallica Album that got me into Metallica.. And Justice For All... i will love that CD until the day i die.. After that i would have to Ride The Lightning.. and then Master Of Puppets.. Peace Maggots
i love most metallica but st. anger and that stuff i dont really like. my favorite would have to be master of puppets i love that album metallica doesnt get any better than that!
I Really Love Metallica I Also Love Some Other Heavy Metal Bands The Song I Really Love From Them Is So Hard To Choose Because All The Songs Sound Terrific I Even Watch Metallica A Year In The Life Of Metallica Parts 1 And 2 On Videotape Once In A While
Blackened Some kind of monster One Tuesday´s gone Seek and destroy Devil´s dance Hero of the day Harvester of sorrow I just love Metallica! :X ..been loving them for... wow, ten years now.
Why is that? I like St.Anger. I know it´s a little different from other albums but is it necessarely a bad thing? I think it would be quite boring if they made MOP over and over again..
Exactly! And the guys are getting older, maturing, changing and that will show in their music of course. Just like the Stones or Eric Clapton.
master of puppets one bleeding me blackened to live is to die fixxxer call of ktulu welcome home (sanitarium) motorbreath orion anesthesia (pulling teeth) some kind of monster the unnamed feeling disposable heroes where the wild things are seek and destroy ride the lightning st anger fade to black creeping death the outlaw torn the unforgiven nothing else matters king nothing turn the page (cover) astronomy (cover) ... oh yeah, and my favourite albums... 1 master of puppets 2 ... and justice for all 3 load i agree that metallica's best ALBUMS were the old ones, but you just can't beat that shit! i like some of the newer songs better than some of the older songs, but i don't think that they'll ever be able to make another master of puppets.
