I say Ringo. In A Hard Day's Night, Help, and The Magic Christian, Ringo always made me laugh, and he just made the better character.I actually felt sorry for him when Paul's granddad and all the others would pick on him in AHDN. John is good too. I like him in How I Won The War. Paul just seemed like he was trying too hard,George, as much as I love him, seemed like he wasn't trying hard enough.

oh ya, it's my 1000th post!

Ringo. To my knowledge, none of the other three had a film career (save Harrison's cameos with Monty Python, et al). Didn't he do some acting (plays) prior to joining The Beatles? It was the one area where he had the advantage over the others.

Apparently John really got into it. I loved him in AHDN, especially in the train (eg. "Give us a kiss"), or the part where he's talking to a woman about looking "just like him".

If I'm not mistaking, Ringo was also the narrator for Shining Time Station. :)

Hehe...I'd have to agree with the majority here. Ringo is awesome. And he was a much better conductor than George Carlin (on Shining Time Station). I was just a little girl, but I was so sad when Ringo left and George took his place.

    as an actor - Ringo.
John's persona is so unique that the characters are 'tailored' for him. so he's just himself & it works pretty well.

None of The Beatles were actors, but Ringo sort of made a career of it based on his celebrity. A Hard Day's Night was a great film because they played themselves. Help! felt tired and labored. The Beatles' music was the constant. They made great records from beginning to end.

yes, definately after seeing Magical Mystery Tour, I think it's Ringo. the others just sucked, plain and simple. Paul tried too hard to be funny, John was too "in your face" and George(as much as i love him) was like a fucking zombie. Ringo was the only one who's acting seemed natural, and didn't rub me the wrong way.

I love Paul in Magical Mystery Tour. Especially during "Fool On the Hill". But he wasn't really acting- he really is that much of a fairy.

I think Ringo's probably the best, but George had the best action sequence when they did Help! and George jumped on the car to save Ringo (aaaaaawwwwwwwwwww)
