The Psychic Brain..... How it works? in the science forums, it was asked about how the psychic brain works. how can ppl be psychic? what is it that makes a person be able to see the future? feel like something has happened before, etc? a scientist who has been working on experiments regarding the psychic brain stated this: "there is the possibility of a psychic centre in the brain. Nutrinos pass through our body all of the time. They change type during their journey from the sun to Earth. This change in their type means that they do not travel at the speed of light. It was decided that they must therefore have mass. This is not the only possible explenation for nutrinos to change though. Science has cheated by not allowing the nutrinos to travel faster than light. If nutrinos travel faster than light then they can change, but they also pass through our bodies in a different time zone. If we could pick up their information, we could see an event that is going to happen in the future. " HOWEVER.... when you hear that humans only use 10 % of their brain, its apparently a myth. "One reason this myth has endured is that it has been adopted by psychics and other paranormal pushers to explain psychic powers. " stated in an article ive read online. Most of the authors of books regarding psychic powers state that the reason they have the psychic powers is because they "use part of the other 90% known as the subconscious mind." the site that states that its a myth also added: "But if all those parts of the brain are unused, removal or damage to the "unused" part of the brain should be minor or unnoticed. Yet people who have suffered head trauma, a stroke, or other brain injury are frequently severely impaired. Have you ever heard a doctor say, ". . . But luckily when that bullet entered his skull, it only damaged the 90 percent of his brain he didn't use"? Of course not. " I personally had believed that there are different parts of the brain that some ppl dont use, you have ppl that are good at art, the artistic part of the brain, the ppl that are more into science, street smart ppl, book smart ppl, etc. everyone uses their brains differently. so wouldnt it make sense that some ppl can use a certain part of their brain that would give you psychic abilities, such as telekinesis and PsychoKinesis? how do you explain that? What are your thoughts on this?
the whole myth of the 'humans only use 10% of their brain' started, i believe, with the fact that les than 10% of brain matter is actual neurons, the rest is insulation, brain fluid, and nutrition transport, etc. everyone uses the whole of their brain, but not the whole thing at one time. as well as this, the 'subconscious mind' is not something that some people have and other dont. it simply is a misused term that represents what the word actually says 'below consciousness'. the subconscious mind refers to all the brain activity that goes on in the brain that does not manifest itself as the thoughts that you percieve. you only percieve the end result of your brain's functioning, but not the individual processes that occur in the.. well.. processing of the information. the conscious mind is a perception OF the subconscious mind. it has nothing to do with hidden abilities except for teh fact that, if you could consciously manipulate your subconscious mind, you would be able to fine-tune your thoughts to do a lot more things. however, in teh end, you can only manipulate the conscious mind directly, and even then.. your manipulation is only going to be the result of subconscious processing of the desire and act of manipulating your own thoughts. if psychis powers are a part of the brain, they are not as such a 'section' of the brain, but an actual -ACT- of the individual neuron. neurons that everyone has, just that psychics use in more ways. i dont personally believe in this, but that would be the explination in the case that it is true.
