How to remember your dreams

    The two key things that make us forget our dreams when we wake up is light and sound. If you wake up to music or your spouse or mother yelling at you to get out of bed, you will probably forget your dreams. Try to wake up calmly and retell your story in your head before you get up.

    Next important thing- Try to keep a dream journal by your bed- it helps. I try to follow a certain page set up when I am recording dreams... here is an example of one I found in a helpful book from the library:

    Date Wednesday July 7th
    Atmosphere Scary, Panic, Confused, Chaotic (how you felt)
    Color Black, Dark blue, Red flag, Green grass (write things with colors that you thought were important)
    Possible Triggar Saw a scary movie last night
    Narative Blah blah blah (write what happened)
