I heard this joke yesterday and was wondering if christians would find it offensive ~Jesus was standing before a large group of people about to stone some chick " let ye who is without sin cast the first stone" he say's just then this little ole lady in the back oof the crowd picks up a rock and beans the chick in the head jesus looks at her and say's " mom sometimes you realy piss me off" so tell me , as christian are you offended by this joke?
Yes. I've heard this. I did think it was funny the first time. My friends and I tell jokes all the time about religion, God, Jesus. Life is joyful and needs some humor.
wel first off, i think it would mainly be Catholics and Orthodox Christains who would get upset with the joke because the views the hold on Mary Mother of Jesus... me, i thought it was witty
So there's these two priests out golfing. One of the priests is a really bad golfer and ke keeps cursing every time he has a bad shot. The second priest tells him that he shouldn't swear. But the first priest keeps swinging away and everytime he exclaims,"Shite, I missed. There is no God." Thunderclouds start forming, the day gets dark. The bad golfer misses and curses,"Shite, I missed. There is no God." Suddenly a bolt of lightening comes down and kills the good priest. And the bad golfer hears from above, "Shite, I missed." But if you really understood, the joke you told you wouldn't find funny.
hehhehe theyre good though mary sinned id have thought, so its a rather gaia-istic view on it but funny none the less. i guess it wouldnt have worked if hed said 'dad' because there isnt that unexpected sentiment between the intimate connection of son and mother good old freud that cocksucker sorry was that offensive?
so jesus is building a small home right? satan comes up and asks, do you need any wood? he says yes, then satan rapes him, and jesus cries.
I've been thinking about this reading some of the post and i have come to the conclution that yes these jokes would be offensive too many christians. maybe not so much for there conetent, for instance a joke like ~ whats the diference between a picture of jesus and jesus? it only takes one nail to hang the picture now while jesus may find this funny, it is irreverent, and i dont think many poeple would like folks making lite of there diety, it might also have the effect of slowing the spread of there religion, and i think thats like one of there tenements, to spread the word
When it comes to jokes, it is the intent and heart of the teller that comes into question. If there are ulterior motives then it is denigrating; then the joke becomes offensive.
this actually raises a theological point whether or not jesus actually did shit because he was the only begotten son of god and would the second leg of the trinity have to shit? just something to think about
