howard stern stern's sirius channel is up and running today. and as a test they have a bunch of farters that have been farting since like 6:30. its hilarious. this is howard stern's way of saying Fuck the FCC because on terrestrial radio he's not allowed to air a fart that is too long or wet. brilliant
'air a fart'? He's bashed Colin Powell's son (director of FCC) a number of times. What the FCC needs is fart-negating software for the radio and TV industry. The TV industry in the U.S. is using software to remove the bulge on women's blouses caused by nipples. I'm not kidding. Good ole America. .
I listen to him...he has an interesting view on things...sometimes i laugh, sometimes i think what the fuck, sometimes i think it is stupid...but i like his view on the FCC...
Stern's about as interesting as Don Imus. Imus looks like a corpse propped up in a chair. My grandmother could do a better show than him......and she's dead. .
Howard Stern is the embodiment of the adage that just cause you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD.
I always thought he was more "if you want to do something you can, despite any barriers." He is kinda boring to listen to, but he helped mainstream radio break away from the mundane. Now all the morning radio shows are like that, and most of them better than Stern. He's got my respect.
Stern, Imus, and the like became the mundane many years ago. Raunchy radio has been going on now for 20 years, much like rap. I'd like to hear some radio shows with some intelligence and creativity in them for a change rather than cheap thrills. 20 years ago I might agree that raunch was bold and different but not today. .
