that's how I finally got my Darkstar! Let me rave about Barry and Mookie: Barry is a pure energy source (and all of 5 feet tall) whose tunings eveoke but don't mimic Jerry's I know him and Mookie through Dave Nelson Band. Great guys (and that is enough for me to occasionally support them. The talent is a bonus at that point). I was at a Steve Kimock show when he noticed DNB was coming through. He turned to Paul and I and said: "you need to hear Barry Sless." I've learned if Steve speaks well of somone it is deserved! So we come back (5 hour drive) the next month and were BLOWN AWAY. Sless reminds you what music , ecstatic music, is supposed to be. Mookie is a good groove piano player with the ability to take the lead when needed. Tight, consistent player with a wide range of incorporated styles. Both are sperkly characters, and that comes through.
