I have this habit of holding open diaper pins between my pursed lips when i change diapers. My husband thinks it's totally grosse, but it comes as second nature to me because i have always done it ever since i can remember.

Do i have any other mothers or babysitters support on this one?

I usually stick them into something away from the baby, but I agree with your husband that it is kind gross. I know pee is sterile and all, but it doesn't mean that I want urine residue in my mouth.

I always put em there too. I can't see how that would be gross,it's not like your sticking the dirty diaper in your mouth. The pin never sees any action.

if you stick them into a bar of soap they'll be easier to poke through the dipe :)

I actually have a bar of soap attached to the changing table I am building. It's in the basement right now though. I need to finish it up so we can start using it.

i use to just sit them away from the baby too. i can't no as i have other little ones around. i have to be more careful. i usually poke them in the couch near me if sitting there. or if i'm on the floor i'll gently sit them in my lap. i have at time put them in my mouth never really thought about it. but really how many microorganisms are on things that we don't see.
