i love em. dont have any albums though.:& i love the song "Freedom" though. and a number of others that i just cant think of right now.
fav song - Sum of us J5 kinda irritates me though, they always have these like Love/we want to remain true to the game sound to like every single song
Wow....what a deep conversation ya guys got going around here Yes J5 has some good shit, But you all should recognize some of the most creative talent on the team is Cut Chemist, not only does he produce some Unique beats but he goes solo as well in a group of other Los Angeles natives bringing a slice of Salsa tejano, Middle eastern, cumbia, Cuban, African, hip hop and old school jazz all together in one band Making "Ozomatli"
I found a J5 t-shirt at Salvation Army for $2.00 last weekend.....and I bought it (it's a little small though)
I love J5. For my birthday last year, a few friends and I went to Claremont College to go see them. It was excellent, to say the least.
I was just about to make a thread.. I have been in a j5 mood for the past couple of days. This is what rap should be.
Yeah it is rap at it's finest. There's only a small amount of the stuff I can handle - J5, Che Fu and King Kapisi are the main ones I listen to. Listening to "What's Golden" at the moment actually, so good to have a groove to.
yo my boy showed me J5 when i was 15 and that just opened my mind to a whole world of hip hop. I didnt know hip hop could be intelligent, trippy and flow so good just like the dead and all the jam bands i was into. Cut Chemist is so tight, his shit with DJ Shadow is fuckin slick. J5 plays at bonnaroo - nuff said.
Coool, i'm not the biggest of hip hop fans, but J5 are pretty cool, seen them a few times over the past 4/5 years & they kick ass
