Okay, well I finally did it. I'm starting my own poetry thread, so I don't need a new thread for each new poem. Here are some recent ones: Faceless (this one is also a song) --------- you're painted black your face is cold into your home the pain is back paint you under the glass... assess the fire obtain the whole too much to hold your fine desire into the world you are alone set you up for a fall take my face off the wall my heart's coldest stone Untitled -------- in an apparent defiance of gravity she yields to undenying cosmic creativity pulse through the Earth to meet me in complexity moving forward Oh, if only you could see us now as we both glow neon at night with the shifted shade pulled slightly out 111 degrees off the mark blinking...2....3... blinking...8....9... blank. On this Ground --------------- on this gorund, I am so small far below Cloud's darkened barrier on this ground, I exist with the leaves like fallen from a tree in the evening's breeze in the world, time is metaphorical skipping through ripples in Universe's pond in this world, we age and die repeating through seven, so am i. through the clouds, there is abyss Everything's zen at this altitude through the clouds, I catch your eye Heavenly bodies high up in the sky Cold in the ground now, repeating through 7 surrender back and into the world. cold in the ground now, over and then I blow in the wind, here where everything's zen.
Man, i liked your second poem the best... i couldn't really make sense of the first in entirity but i am sure with a little expansion i could learn to understand it a little better. But maybe thats the beauty of the poem.. Maybe its not for me to understand the links inbetween the lines... I think i have a reasonable idea but i don't wanna let what i know shaddow the meaning of the poem, if you know what i mean, i want to find a different meaning in that one. I am glad you are starting to express yourself more in words. You have some awesome lyrics and poems here man.. in an apparent defiance of gravity she yields to undenying cosmic creativity....(Fucking love this one man.. if i am not picking your poems apart already :S..... but still... awesome imagery) Neway... i am going somewhere surreal to go play with the fires of my mundane serenity.. Peace
Thanks, as always, for your continued support, man. Glad to hear you liked them. As You Say (also a song) ------------ insects in my life in my line of sight & you're still undecided choose a side & fall into my line of sight hurry up, decide do something about it, if it bothers you so much as you say pick me up to let me fall into a brand new you exclude yourself from daily word play enter the sun, today. do something about it, if it bothers you so much as you say "sand box" (also a song) ----------- miles away in an old apartment, memories are burned away in a haze of smoke open limb fascination this bitter depravity shows tendancies of solitude this combustion of raw earth matter can be seen as lifting to the soul open limb fascination this bitter depravity shows tendacies of solitude all insane eyes and reaching hands arms caress the frays of time, my mind in this space, i am bought and then sold... Another untitled peice (again, also a song) --------------------- Square Space, big enough to fit you & me here, we'll survive by candle light. Oh, as my discrepancy does unfold... like water to the waves like dirt into my grave, i am home. Save face, remember to contain as if failure wasn't enough we're witness to it all Oh, as my perplexity upholds like water to the waves, like dirt into my grave witness to my name blood drained from my veins, and I am home...
i love the sounds of the words in sandbox james. can we hear the songs sometime? i'd love to hear 'em!
Awww, thanks Lozi!!! As always, you're so kind, and I'm glad you enjoyed them. I will try to get the songs online, as soon as I can. Here's a couple new ones... Required of Footsteps ------------------ required of footsteps falling an anti-climatic breach of words, a dead space in between, called reality. this energy contrived, existing unabaided softening the blow that life brings down required of footsteps falling, gravity. a sequel to an age old story... one of misguided faith, a dying era the second chapter now removed, honesty. if it fails, then we'll follow & witness this anti-climatic breach of mind & soul this dead space in between, eternity. To Be Seen ------------ immortal green, an indication on my pillow of softly spoken words that poets sing in their darkest hours. everlasting scenes, and an invitation on my table to ballroom shows that aristocrats bring to this darkened world. this failing green, an undying stone in cosmic water that burns away but never dies except for on the surface. oh, to be seen as declarations on my alter that regain light on the scars remaining as is, always...
I am REALLY diggin' To Be Seen It is BEAUTIFULLY written... your writing was always good, but it has really come such a long way. Do you/are you going to incorporate any of these into songs? They are absolutely lovely...
Thanks, Bekka, that's my favourite one of the lot, too. Thanks for your comments, I'm glad you've always enjoyed my work. Yes, some of these will end up being songs. As You Say, Faceless, On This Ground, "sandbox", and the untitled one will all be turned into songs for my next album. I'm pretty excited about it all, I'm gunna be experimenting with alot of different sounds/instruments.
I can NOT wait to hear your new music when you finish with it. I'm really really excited about it. And it will also be interesting to see the way you mesh music with your poetry, I can't wait to hear it. ;lakjdf;lakjdf;lkajdf <--that's how excited I am. Oh and, I have blank CDs still if you want to send me some of your music which you never did! Oh and also. I'm excited about the drums.
Aaah, thanks Bekk!! Thanks, as always, for your continued support. I will try and get these songs available as soon as possible. Tea & Tangerines -------------------- i will send you honey & tea yes, i will send you honey for your tea my love, my ex-love, you're so unsettled scratching past skin away. she spent her time alone, writing love letters to God. her God, her only God, now dispersed. empty, alone, and now dispersed. i will eat you down in full, yes, you taste like tangerines my sweet, my bitter sweet, you're so contrived undead and sweet like tea & tangerines.
the wayward intellectual ------------------------ oh, i hope i can fall asleep on the ocean. wouldn't it be nice to fly with his wings? his azure chemical dyed lovely shirt tails, painless scar-free embroidered time... we'll dance together with beautiful moon and pierce the sky with our ivory light, if he can never make it home, understand he was just alone and inside their seed. i want you to know, i have no remorse as if this parchment had a face my ink vials spilled across the cleft between your thighs, your inner space neither of them wants to admit their wrong, so i'll take you away and keep you safe from bastard pawn and visual mess after all, i cannot leave on my own...
Wonderful, so many great lines... I think the 1st and 3rd stanzas are my favorites in your newest poem.
Wow, thanks sylvan! That's a huge compliment, coming from you, I've always admired your work! Thanks for the love, bro.
Fleassy!!! Hiiiii! Awww, so good to hear from you again, love!!! Thank you so much, for the comments!!!
two new ones to share, with my fellow forumers, i hope you enjoy. even if you asked ----------------- i'm more than obsessed, but could i tell you? no. we're merely acquainted, through wine and a piss. how bad i want this touch, and an after sex smoke, thighs are like heaven and i'm dying tonight. if, if, if i could sing through the wires to you, i'd break down in seconds now, just to oblige. i can see hair flowing, in bright golden arrays and a spark to the end of a whitened papier. please baby, don't request me to pass i couldn't say more, even if you asked... forgiven not for duty undone ---------------------------- "how i want a son," he says. can you be mine, for a night? hidden jewels below the waste, put me forth for a minute. whatever that means... "i hate you, father." he says. this disfigurement is all too much and there's no tomorrow for an asymmetrical son. whatever comes of this... is it really fair, that she'll come to know? her father figure couldn't measure up in the end, and became a failure of a man... forget the shadowed heart, you eternal machine of fortitude. exactly what i asked... blessed be my transmissions right, I hope. clean, we're all clean now.
Thanks Lozi! These two were written last night, after polishin off a bottle of wine, by myself. Hahaha.
