This is more or less a pointless question but i'm gonna sk it anyways... In the studio version of saint stephen, is there supposed to be feedback near the beginning (at about 20 seconds). i just want to make sure it not my cd or something (i got "what a long strange trip its been," used so...)
hmm... i believe so... i'll have to check... i havent listened to the studio version in forever... i prefer it live... st. stephen was the first song i learned to play on my guitar
I have a couple CDs with that song on 'em and there's no feedback. To see what Dead albums I have, go here: http://www.digitalmeltd0wn.org/hippie/G.html and here: http://www.digitalmeltd0wn.org/hippie/Live.html If you want any, I can upload 'em for you.
yeah dude sorry...thinking the other way around...you get that after listening to it for three days with your best buddy weed
huh is the Saint stephen on "what a long strange trip its been" studio or live then? i'm pretty sure its studio cus its like a "best of" sort of thing... maybe what i'm calling feedback isn't the right term. it sounds like the sound when the guitar or mike or something gets too close to the speaker, but maybe its not?? it happens real quick at like 20 seconds into the song (the total length is 5:22) hmm?
Do you know how to rip and upload a song? If you do, please upload it to www.yousendit.com / www.rapidshare.de / or send it to my e-mail at nathan_holloway11@yahoo.com and I'll give it a listen for you, mate.
ya its at about 22 seconds. i guess its live, i just assumed it was studio cus its on what a long strange trip its been, a best of sorta thing. and its 5:22 so it must not be studio
Definitely Live/Dead, but I've got my own question about that. It seems that there are extra lyrics and music tacked on to the end of St. Stephen right before they go into The Eleven. Does anybody what this is? Is it a short reference to another song or etc.?
