i read an earlier thread in this forum about a silver ring thing for religious people or something. i don't really understand what this is about. can someone explain?
From what I can ascertain, it's a ring that teenagers wear that shows their "devotion" to their virginity, and for remaining virgins until marriage.
but along with that it advocates witholding sex education from young people, scaring them with deceptive statistics and guilt tripping them. sorry, id call myself a christian but these people drive me mad.
but that's wrong. if i didn't know what i know about sex, i would've done fucked my entire school, and nieghborhood. so many times i've come close to having sex, but then i don't bc i consider the risk of stds and condoms that are only work 97% of the time. that's bull shit...they'll learn. there'll be this huge baby boom era, and they'll all be like 'but we didn't know...' the world will be even more exposed to stds...
I'm a Christian and I've read The Bible, and I've never seen anything in there about keeping one's virginity. I think it's better not to sleep around, but that's just common sense. It has nothing to do with God.
a girlfriend of mine in highschool had a thing called a Purity Ring that she wore and said she would give it to her mum when she finally lost her virginity.. not sure if it was a religious thing or what tho...
