hell yeah man, you'll be able to really mesh with the beat. Like the original poster said, she WAS the music...and you will BE the drumming.

Though, sometimes weed lets me focus on things real well and "get into it" really well, but sometimes it distracts me.

you wont say that after seing my drummer drum while he's stoned...
Once we got high and we didnt setup the drumset b4...so we started setting it up while we were high..so i brought the "floor tom" and kept it to his side...
oh my goddd he went crazy on the floor tom,....making all kind of sounds...
first he was just hitting on the rims...and then slowly he strated hitting it on the skin...man its was awesome....
whne he drums..high..its one of the best things...
mayb i ll post a mp3 one day...if i can think of recording him...at that time

    One of these days, sure.

And I think drummers are musicians. If you're not, you can't place which beat to go with which tune. A song can change so dramatically based on the drumbeat. Trust me, the drummer in my band and I often have "artistic differences." I'm like, "No, it's 6/8 time, goddammit!" or "Less complicated, this song is more mellow." You have to understand music to keep the beat. You drummers are really the backbone.

And whether or not it sounds amazing to hear a drummer high, I have no doubt it would FEEL amazing to play the drums high.

the difference between someone hitting drums and a drummer is that a drummer adapts to music. its a skil to get something going that feeds but doesnt inturrupt the music, other than some 'drummers' who just lay down beats theyve learnt and stuff.
