Whats the fresh to dry ratio? For instance,20 grams of fresh would be equal to how much dried?

    Just a-curiousing.

fresh cubensis mushrooms (i dont know about other species, but i'd assume its similar) are generally made up of approximately 90% water.

assuming they're grown in a highly humid condition as they're supposed to be, you can generally estimate the dry weight to be 10% of the wet weight immediately after harvest. so just move the decimal over. 20g fresh would be roughly equivalent to about 2g dry.

keep in mind that while dry mushrooms are more potent than fresh mushrooms, fresh mushrooms still generally have a greater content of active alkaloids. (think about it for a minute before replying that this is a contradiction, because it actually makes perfect sense. generally you lose some of the psilocin/psilocybin when you dry it, but even though they have more fresh, they are 90% water and gram for gram are therefore less potent than dried mushrooms...its a matter of concentration!)
