I am not saying that every rule has a totally necessary purpose, but a world with no basic rules of morality, is no world that I would want to live in.
RE: Tell me mate, where does it say that they are all in heaven when this is taking place? Oh right, sorry. Back then they thought God lived in a wooden box that they carried around everywhere. Guess all the angels and Satan were crammed in there like, oh, like college students in a phone booth.
your parents 'created' you. go bow and pray to them and llove them to death or... STOP! maybe you could respect them on and EQUAL level and treat them as an EQUAL and love them and talk to them, but also live your life mostly not being with them all the time and do what you wanna do
Go a step further. Your parents may have assisted in bringing you into the world, but without God himself, it'd never be possible. God created all of mankind, and taking a man's life is His right alone just like creating man was his choice alone.
Let me post out how this is going to go, and save us both the trouble. IronGoth: Prove that God created humans Erisek: Read the book of Genesis IronGoth: I don't believe in the bible Erisek: Historians from different eras have written things that agree with the bible. Archaeologists have found biblical sites. IronGoth:They're unreliable. If Campbell34 could bring up the egyptian army embedded in coral, and Libertine still didn't believe, then I don't believe I can do any better.
Proof that a certain time period or place existed isn't proof of a god. Otherwise why aren't you worshipping zeus or mythra? Probably only because you aren't as familiar with those religious beliefs. Ever wonder why cultures (from now and all periods of history) all have their own gods/beliefs? It isn't because they all exist, even though those cultures and time periods certainly did.
Alright, then, the coral-encrusted Red-sea must have just been a coincidence. Au contraire, Sera. At one point I was a super-pagan: No christianity, no way no how! Thank God I no longer tread that path. Sera, what about this? I've yet to see something on the scale of "Egyptian-army-in-coral" in any other religion.
You think god is the only explanation of how chariots ended up in the water (and there is no solid archeological evidence of an army of chariots, or any chariots for that matter, in the water anyways)
shock story: maybe god doesent exist, and you've just wasted your life. the good thing about my situation is that if in right then "cooool haha i was right", and if im wrong as he does exist then "Yippeee" we dont have to have nuthing after death, god i fear it.
"and if im wrong as he does exist then "Yippeee" we don't have to have nuthing after death" If you're wrong, you've thrown yourself into hell.
RE: IronGoth: Prove that God created humans Erisek: Read the book of Genesis IronGoth: I don't believe in the bible That ends it right there. What you've done is presented a circular argument: who is God? Read the Bible. Why is the Bible an authority? It was written by God. Uh.... sure. RE: Erisek: Historians from different eras have written things that agree with the bible. Archaeologists have found biblical sites. IronGoth:They're unreliable. No, more like this is irrelevant. Proof of a part is not proof of a whole. I mean, Mecca exists. Does that mean Islam is right? RE: If you're wrong, you've thrown yourself into hell. This is called Pascal's Wager. "If there is no God, then you lose nothing by believing in him. Yet, if there is one, you'll be glad when you watch others burn in hell!" First off this presumes God/No God. This is not true. The Islamics, after all will tell you that unless you pray to Mecca five times a day and always say "sallam alabama massaga balamakila" or whatever before you eat (no pork!) you go to Hell. So unfortunately, your wager is null and void. It becomes even more complex. What happens when you die? Do you end up in Valhalla? Heaven? The Elysian Fields? Paradise? Eden? Or do you end up in Sheol? Hell? Cause there's JUST AS MUCH PROOF FOR ALLAH (please for sir, for you to read the Koran, which will tell you his name is Allah and the Koran is perfect because it was written by Allah!) as there is for your God. And frankly all of these books are full of contradictions, so they can't be written by Perfect Gods.
well if god was as kynd as forgiving as you all say then why would he willingly send people to hell. sounds like a real arrogant asshole
AH! and dig this. i give alot of money to charity and do alot for the the good of the world, unlike many rich christians who stuff their gobs with krispy kreme donuts in america after mass. in all honestly say bono gave ALL his money to charity and did alot for humans good, yet had all my anti-god attitudes then would he be off to hell- come on...
However, even in Islam, the hellfire is not permanent, rather, a "purifier" almost. Incorrect - According to ISLAM ITSELF, the Koran was written by Mohammed after a vision he received from the Angel Gabriel in a cave somewhere. Who said the bible was written by God? Written by men, inspired by God, is more correct.
