All my daughter will eat is egg whites and sunny delight...

how bizarre. she won't touch any of the other foods i make, and i make some pretty tasty stuff. at least i thought so.

 

Try making her a milkshake, and throw in some beef in it when she's not looking.

 

how old is she and why is that all that she will eat?

 

she's 2 now. i have no idea why she'll only eat this. it's driving me nuts. she knows that if she refuses everything i make and goes long enough without eating, i'll give her egg whites and sunny d. it's bizarre. dave's mom said he was a picky eater, too.

 

i dunno what's wrong with her, maybe she is very picky. or maybe she found something that she loves to eat and only wants that to eat. either way...eggwhites and sunny d sounds very appetizing(sp?)

 

have you tried just letting her drink sunny d with a different meal? or telling her that if she eats a meal of your chice for the next meal she can have what she wants?

 

well, i've found you cannot reason with anyone who still wants to shit in a diaper. i'm hoping it's just a phase. when i was younger, i went through a phase of only eating apples.

 

Don't give up! What I did with Dyl was give him 3 or 4 pieces of vegetable at a time and made a happy face out of them, even if he refused to eat them. He eventually started eating just the face, and then after a long time of doing that he would ask for a second face. He's 5 now and eats (or at least tries) everything.

 

that's what's bizarre. kai would eat anything, she adored veggies and rice and my vegetarian lasagna. now she won't touch anything. maybe she's just needing whatever it is in egg whites and sunny d.

 

Does she have Barbie Dolls? One of the phrases that Talking Diet Barbie says is: "Yolks give big hips to folks, ONLY eat egg whites." Maybe she learned it from a doll?

That's what happened with Dyl, too. He was an excellent eater, and then suddenly wouldn't touch his veggies. She'll come back to it if you keep offering them, since she did used to like them. Could be a power trip, too. Do you let her know it bugs you?

 

kids are odd, i went thru a phase when i was small where all i wold eat was microwave mac-n-cheese. and once i ate only rice for an entire summer....... she will probly move on in a month or so.......

lol, about the barbie. kai seems to have my same inscrutable fear of barbie dolls. i never liked them, they always creeped me out. i've decided to just deal with it as one of those bizarre things kids do from time to time.

 

I don't think it'll last... when I was little (I don't quite remember how old and for how long, I guess a year) I would only eat banana flavored yogurts.
