Is Go ask Alice different from Alice in Wonderland? If so who wrote it? And does it have anything to do with the Jefferson Airplane Song?
It´s supposed to be a real diary from a girl who lived in the 60´s, who becomes a drug addict. The author is anonymous. we had threads about the book before, with discussions about it whether it´s a real diary or just made up... I surely love this book, it´s nicely written imo and I read it at least 15 times now (in german and english )...
okay....this book, while very well written, is definitely not one written by a young teenage girl that runs away from home and deals with drugs. This was propaganda written by a 30-something lady, meant to scare young teens into NOT trying drugs and always obeying their parents. While I will admit to being taken in by this book, and in fact enjoying it to a point, you have to look at this logically. When a person is homeless or completely strung out on drugs, how many of them actually keep a friggin journal? none, to my knowledge.
I dont know, i really did not enjoy the book to much because of the point that hippyfreek brought up, it does just seem like propaganda
i read half of it and got bored, once the descriptions of drugs were over i stopped, i did want to read about living on the street anymore
So, is this book about drugs? I thought Alice was a children's book. Makes sense now, all this Narnia stuff. Makes you wonder what else they were putting in the chocolate in that factory.
Go Ask Alice - book about a homeless runaway teen dealing with drugs Alice through the Looking Glass- A book about the adventures of Alice, as told by Lewis Carroll Narnia chronicles - a series of books giving a naration of the New Testament that kids would enjoy reading.
You mean they're 3 seperate books? I didn't realize it's a trilogy. Is it like the Lord of the Flies trilogy?
