I posted a thread similar to this in the Love&Sex forum and didn't really get anywahere with it... But, anyways, as a bi/les borderline chick I'm at a bit of a loss in terms of lesbian sex ed. I've googled it, yet with little avail. I'm not really looking into how to screw around with a chick, I know how to do that, but I'm looking into info on how to stay STD-free. I'm looking for books and websites or any other info on the matter. I'm hoping to get to the bookstore sometime this week so book titles would be muchly apperciated.
Maybe you should just read some general info. on contraceptives. I really think you should ask some people in health care though, like a doctor, or email somebody online.
. Hello DreamerSpirit, Finding anything on Google can be a challenge. What are the right terms needed to find links you can use? Well, if you knew that, half the time you wouldn't need the links. Here's the search I used for google: 'women std prevention health' (with out the quotes.) I was able to find the LGBT Health Channel and an article on Safer Sex for Women who Have Sex with Women . I didn't read all the information and I can not attest to it, but it looks like what you are asking to find out about. .
Thanks for the website and other tips! I really appreciate it! ^^ I actually brought the issue of getting a book on the topic up with my mom last week, and she said that I was 'too young to need a book like that'... I havn't brought it up again since, but I'm planning to argue her down on the subject next time we go to the bookstore. Not that I've lost my lesbian virginity yet, but I'm a teenage girl with raging hormones so I'm worried about what *could* happen... I mean, my first (and only) relationship started when my mom went out shopping, leaving me and a friend alone... I ended up chaining her to a bed, then making out topless with her for three hours, and we woul've kept going if it wern't for the fact that my mom came home and nearly caught us. The girl I'm going after now dosn't seem as much of a horny little freak as my ex, but still... Also, where can I find a dental dam other than a sex shop? I kind of have to sneak these things under my parents noses, and I can't really drive myself out to buy one... Thanks again! ^^
. I've never bought them, or shopped for them. I looked it up on line. Dental Jams run about $1 to $1.50 a piece and come in 3 packs and 12 packs, sometimes sold singly. They come in different flavors, which is neat. You should be able to find them near the condoms in any drug store. You may have to ask for them, the drug stores around me keep that stuff behind the counter. See: Undercovercondoms.com I would be leary of on-line sites that offer "free" condoms, they may just want your address to send you junk mail, and I'm talking snail mail. Many colleges and universities have clinics where they distribute free condoms and dental jams, you may want to check in your area. Look for free clinics around a college campus, or call the student union or student services at the U and just ask. You might also contact any glbt groups in your area about std clinics and testing where you might be able to buy or recieve dental jams. good luck, you wild thing! .
Oki. I just came across a pretty good site and I figured that I should post it in case anyone else needed such information. http://www.gayhealth.com/templates/1133744600773231706115/sex/index.html?trycookie=1 It's got loads of info, and seems pretty reputable.
Hey girl I can totally appreciate your wanting to learn more about bi/lesbian relationships, and i also have interest in learning all i can about my fellow sisters. you know I got kicked out of hip chat the other day, for coming on to a girl in the room! That was a real shocker for me, shows theres a big difference in the old school hippies, and the new age!! So nice to know I have common interest with someone. Much love always 2 my sister's.
