Deaf or Blind?

Would you rather be deaf or blind, and WHY? Personally I'd rather be blind because I do NOT want to give up music. Also, if you were blind, you could get out of a lot of things you don't want to do.
And you'd get to wear 'blind' glasses, and possibly even get a Seeing-Eye dog. No one ever gets a Hearing-Ear dog.

 

Anyone see the family guy where their stuck on an Island?

Definetly rather be deaf. If you're deaf you can lear to read lips, and can still do about everyday things. If you're blind you've lost you're ability to do most daily things.

Except for DareDevil. But then everyone would think you're Ben Affleck.

I wouldn't mind being blind or deaf, but if people thought I was Ben Affleck, I would slash my wrists.

 

i'd rather be deaf - i couldn't cope with loosing my sight

 

deaf.. mostly because I want to see my son grow up and accomplish things. You miss out on a lot of beautiful things if you are blind.

 

id rather be deaf as well...screw music, i wanna see....

 

i'm not much for the visual stuff. you can get so much outta hearing.

 

I would rather be deaf. Mainly because I love to draw - I love art, so I can't live blind.

i would choose to be blind because i think my sense would heighten alot and i always thought it might be interesting to see how much more i could experience without relying so much on my sight (im not wishing blindness on myself)

and being deaf would mean no music...but sign language would be cool...

although, silly me would miss beautiful sunsets and the sight of the ocean and the many beautiful things to be looked upon in life...

 

Blind---I need Music to live.
Besides without glasses--i'm pretty much blind anyway....Everything kind of looks like a Monet painting now.

As much as I love music, I'd have to say I'd rather be deaf. Sight is just to useful.


One thing I've always wondered is how blind people react to psychedelics.

 

hehe my dads like that...since old age kicked in...it's funny...

but sad because he used to be a great driver..and now you have to tell him he's in the middle of the road....hahah aw the poor thing

 

since the other senses are so heightened im sure it would be heavy! but uno..most the time im on drugs it's not what i see but what i feel that is the best experience...

sorry i would prefer to be able to see things then hear annoying people talk or music that ive heard a billion times...

my Aunt is blind from MS and she tells me how she wishes she would rather be deaf anyday then be blind....

 

oh my god if i was blind i wouldn't be able to read or watch anything, at least with deaf i could have subtitles.

actually ive just realised how ignorant that sounds i would be able to read but i would have to learn brail

get yourself a deaf hearing dog, if you deaf you cant speak properly so communication would be harder
