Great pics! Weather has always been my favorite subject matter, but where I am I really don't get anything that unusual.
i only browse the art forums once in a while, but those pics are crazy. i'm about to tell a few people i know to check them out.
beautiful! Did you take the other ones in your gallery? I mean the ones of the crazy storm clouds. Those freaked me out!!
thanks, the other storm pics WERE NOT taken by me. the pic was taken with a digi, and i have a few more on my cell phone, later ill uplaod em (razr v2). im going to be taking an assload of pics due to wilma(sp) is supposed to slam into the west coast at a cat3 and slam all of south florida, so hopefully their will be some sick pics, 0on the highway ALL street lights were lowered in my area.
theres some sick lightening out side, ill take a pic when it comes closer and the lightning is hitting like strait down.
the lightening never came twards the house, and it was just random strikes, nothing i could actualy be fast enought to take. so ill take some of itt now, and when wilma starts to hit
You may not have to be "fast" to capture lightning... do you have a digital camera with a movie setting?
Hey can you send me kat_5 in a bigger size? I want to put it as my desktop background... My email is kcin2005@hotmail.com
Hmm, nice pics, great subject matter. 'm not a fan of digital photography but these are cool. For the lightening, if you can, leave the apperture on it's widest (small number) and set the shutter speed for around 30 seconds, "iso" at 100asa. Repeat until a lightening strike hits in the frame. That's what I do for my fil slr anyway.
Interesting- for my lightning pics I set the camera to movie mode (mine only takes 30 sec clips at 640x480 resolution) and take repeated small movies till a lightning strike occurs in frame. I then capture the still.
