I must admit i definately prefer mixed race girls! especially if they're from a Mexican, Italian, Spanish or Greek background, maybe it's because i'm mixed European too... who knows??

I don't think racism* plays any part in the fact that I'm simply not sexually attracted to black men.

*Definition of racism: The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.

Sorry Morgan. I'm not sure where you got that definition from, but I would say it's a little off with respect to the 'differences in human ability or character' part.

Race certainly does account for differences in human character and ability! That's fact, not belief. People of different races don't just look different — they're separated by thousands of years of evolution and have many differences in character and ability. You find distinct differences in character and ability between people of the same race living in different regions of a country!

In my opinion, racism can only be used to describe negative, unfounded beleifs that are hateful, cruel or unfair.

I've been in an interracial relationship for 3 years now, and it's been interesting. Mostly because of where I live probably, but whatever. My boyfriend and I turn it into a kind of joke when people look at us weird. This one lady was really giving us awful looks one time (country club type lady) and so he just smacked my ass and kept walking like it was nothing. It's pretty bad around here, and he's hispanic, and I'm white. I can't even imagine the looks that other people get. Sucks that it has to be that way still... it seems so ancient and ridiculous. Oh right, and we do have some pretty hot sex...:H

We are who we are. We all have our preferences when it comes to whom we're physically and emotionally attracted to. They're part of being human. In the absence of a negative motivation for those preferences (And if they make us happy, why would they be negative?) , there's no reason to apologize for them. I don't apologize for mine, so why should you apologize for yours?

    God LOVES diversity.

    Dictionary.com has this one wrong!

The beleif that race affects ability and character is not racism! Nor is it a belief — it's a fact.

Hmmmm..... I have no problem with mixed race sex. Though I myself am only attracted to certain races on most occasions (There is always exceptions, but that is usually when someone of a race I am usually not attracted to has features which are common in the races which I am attracted to). It is not the races themselves which I find unattracted, it is their features, mainly facial structure, now that I think about it.....

I myself have always been in "interracial" relationships. I don't purposely avoid girls of my own ethnicity... Though, culturally speaking, chances are I'm more likely to hit it off with people outside of my ethnicity due to what some might call "reverse culture shock". My current relationship is an interracial one as well.

I think it's just the matter of meeting someone whom you can really connect with, reagrdless of "race".

I dated a wonderful young lady that looked like a darker skinned version of Quenn Latifa. I like her straight forward tell it like is manner. She plainly told me that she prefered white guys and that she wanted to date me.

She dugg my hippie friends and gota good kick out of watching us do those free form hippie dances.

I turned her own to Janis Joplin and Maria loved it and swore up and down that Janis was Black until I showed her the cd cover.

That's kinda the way I see it too. I myself am half-Arab and half-white; my ex wife is Asian, so do the math about what our kid is. Actually, the whole WORLD is a big interracial stew. I have my preferences, racially, when it comes to women, and sometimes I'm shocked when even I don't fit my own stereotypes of who I do and don't like in the ethinc/racial dept. The person that started this thread talked about the "racism" in the South and the taboos against interracial couples-I live in the South too, and all I can say is "what taboos?" Even if people occasionally say that these taboos exist, the South is full of interracial couples, and nobody bats an eyelash at them or could care less. Sometimes I hear people talk about these "taboos" against interracial relationships, and all I can say is "wtf are you talking about?" The whole human race is one big interracial stew anyway.

    race n'existe pas

Two people making love-yeah great. No matter whether their skin is very white, a slightly darker shade of white, an even darker shade, a light brownish colour, a darkish brown, a yellowy shade or an orangey shade. I couldnt care in the slightest.

My skin is almost albino. My boyfriends is a little darker, more tanned, as he is from further south in Europe. Is this classed as an "interrace relation"? apparently, we are both considered to be "white"...although where exactly the borderlines are ill never know.

    Xx
