I used to be all about the pro weed garbage, you know weeds not addictive, whats wrong with relaxing it a little? legalize legalize! all that but now ive realized for me it really really messed me up. I know I cant sit back and shovel all the responsibilites of my problems onto weed because it is my fault but weed sure didnt help.

Weed takes you out of reality, lets your imagination run free, but unfortunately for some this is its deadly trap. i got into a mode of not trusting my senses for reality and just imagining i was in a happy world. I was happy lying to myself because I prefered it over facing the truth, which hurt so deeply inside me. Anyone who knows a think or two about psychology can tell you this is the start for some serious problems. Weed started me walking down a path to such things as schizopheria, bi-polar, depression and the worst part was I was thrilled to death about it.

Fuck, if anyone here reads this and decides to change their life, or at least remembers this and when they are ready to face reality they remember my words and know there not alone writing this will be worth it. Every day for me now is a living hell, Im faced with countless problem which would have been easier to solve the first time. Ive lost the trust of my friends and family which I will have to work hard to get back. But the one silver lining is Im not lying to myself and I wouldnt give that up for anything else in the world.

IronGoth, everytime somebody makes a post about how weed fucked them up or anything of the sort, you're always one of the first comments. why do you come into the marijuana forum if you have such animosity towards it? so you can pick arguments with teenagers?

 

Alright, lets get down to the real point here.
You say that weed has fucked you up for life, I say that you already had psychological problems to begin with, using weed (and whatever else) probably brought out those problems.

Yes I know there was no way of you knowing if you had mental issues before you started toking, but it happened...The 1 in 100,000 chance happened, and I'm sorry to hear that. But not everyone is the same, the majority of people can handle a toke every few days without any negative effects, myself included, I have chosen moderate use rather than everyday use because I know its what my body can handle.

So the point is, shit happens...you got caught and thats unfortunate, but trying to preach to us about quitting isn't doing any good.

Logical conclusion from that is it has more of an effect on you than sex, or tv (ps i know sex effects ur mind but weed does more so!)

There was a time in my life when getting stoned was a really negative thing for me. It made me feel (even more) anxious, paranoid, and depressed. I kept toking for awhile because I was psychologically dependent on it. Even though it was no longer an enjoyable recreational activity. Then I realized the herb was amplifying problems that already existed in my mind, and quit for awhile. I dealt with the problems, and now smoking is great again. Trust me, your problems are coming from yourself and your own mind, not from weed. It is just making it harder or impossible to continue to ignore and suppress. Which is why it is such a great tool for personal growth and enlightenment.

So what about all the people in their 40s or 50s who have been smoking longer than you have been alive? There are many out there who live awesome lives, have no problems with their personal life. You see, there are better humans out there than you, some don't suck so much.
