I'm Tiffy. I'm seventeen, and I'm just a hard-working senior schoolgirl. Just kidding, I'm fucking lazy. I'm definitely more right-brained, since my life revolves around the arts. Talk to me! I want to get to know some of you. I don't really know what else to say. I'm hardcore into piano and weird types of music. Most people scrunch their noses up as though inhaling a particularly unpleasant odor when I mention my genres. But oh well. I love this site and these forums. fin.
hi tiffy! i LOVE the piano, tho i dont play. maybe someday i'll learn. but i love to listen to it. and the violin, and acoustic guitar, and.......haha anyway, welcome to the forums, they are really great
Hey Tiffy, if you like weird types of music, you really should check out Frank Zappa. The man was a total genius and his guitar work was phenomenal. Let me extend the welcome mat. I recently found “The Hip Forums” myself and I know what it’s like to be a newcomer. You don’t really know what to say or how to act. Read some of the threads so you can get the gist of what topics are being discussed. When you feel comfortable jump right in and get your feet wet. Nobody here is going to “Flame” you, that just isn’t tolerated here (unless it’s necessary) lol. We get some assholes here who just want to stir up bad vibes... From what I’ve found so far is that we are one big family with many brothers and sisters. Once again the doors open come on in, open up your heart and mind, put on some groovy tunes, kick back and stay awhile. Peace & Love, DDR Quote: Frank Zappa "He was in a quandary..being devoured by the swirling cesspool of his own steaming desires..uh..the guy was a wreck."
Oh, yes! I love Zappa. You see, he's pretty much up there in my "weird genre" list, along with Stanley Clarke, Bela Fleck, Chick Corea, Jaco Pastorious, etc etc etc etc etc. Who else do you like?
My favorite song is the Allman Brothers, “In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed,” (preferably the acoustic version). Favorite female artists: Karen Carpenter, Patsy Cline, Dionne Warwick, Stevie Nicks, Debbie Harry, Pat Benitar, Grace Slick and Bonnie Raitt (slide guitar). Favorite male guitarists’: Duane Allman (slide guitar), Dickey Bets, Frank Zappa, Steve Vai, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Alvin Lee, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eddie Van Halen, Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, I could go on-and-on, but you get the picture. Favorite groups: Allman Brothers, Frank Zappa, Yardbirds, Cream, Derek and The Dominos, Delaney and Bonnie, Blind Faith, Traffic, America, The Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Three Dog Night, Young Rascals, Animals, War, Van Morrison, Doors, Ten Years After, Steely Dan, Spanky and Our Gang, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Neil Young, Meatloaf, The Mommas & The Pappas, It’ A Beautiful Day, G3, Nirvana, Nickel Back and Oasis. I’m currently lost in the 100 acre wood, with Poo, Owl, Eyore and Christopher Robin, with a honey jar stuck on my head, searching for that lost ‘Wrinkle In Time.” So help me if you can, I’ve got to get back to the house at a quarter by one. You’ll be surprised, there’s so much to be done, count all the bees in the hive, chase all the clouds from the sky, a mans work is never done. Peace and Love, DDR
