and then I throw more paint on their coat. also, if you get the coats that have not been sold yet, the company loses alot of money and if this happens often, they may think twice about skinning animals for fashion
Maybe not, but it WILL make them stop and think before the next time they wanna wear some poor animal's flesh as a fashion accessory. Besides, everyone retaliates in some way. whether it's throwing someone in jail, or dumping red paint on their animal skins, or pulling a drastic stunt like the ELF and destroying shit you KNOW is harming the environment, but yet no one else does anything to stop it. It's not always pretty, but we live in a world where sitting around and holding hands and trying to reason with these people is next to impossible. http://www.earthliberationfront.com/
I'm not a fan of people being militant. Ghandi had the right idea Fur in itself is very nice, but only when attached to it's original wearer. The only one who needs a mink coat is a mink. Fur farms and trapping are just pointless evil. I love Tor's idea. TTFN Sage
yes i agree with you on the damn wrong part but i really dont think much people in here do wear leather or anything else made of an animal so im not sure about anyone else but i know that i am not a hypocrite.

In todays world, you have to take action! You can't just sit around on your butt and think that people are just going to one day see that what they are doing is wrong!
i think both leather and fur are wrong! it's so stupid of people to murder innocent animals just so they can be "fashionable". it's so selfish of them! wearing leather or fur is not necessary at all, and neither is eating animals but im not going to go into that. you can buy fake fur coats and stuff if it is really that important but why kill animals for a look, something that doesn't even make a person who they are. you're not your freakin clothes! just because your wearing something that is expensive and made with fur or leather does not make you that much more important or worthy or any praise.
Yeah it does seem like only the "rich" people wear fur. And it's so retarded. It's not like they need to prove anything. People already know they are rich, they really don't need to make themselves stand out to others anymore by killing innocent animals. It's really sad actually!
Because they are assholes, and really I don't think that they care that there are people out there killing animals for them to wear on their god damn backs!! They could give their money to charities.
hot damn, partner, I love leather... smooth. At this time I don't have the money for such luxuries, but I'm sure once the money train arrives you can leather me up, buttercup... when I fall off me bike I want the dead cow to absorb the road rash, not me, man. And, damn... you ever wear mink underwear, you ever have the tail of a mink between your ass... you have any idea how good that feels?
Yeah giving money to charities would actually achieve something good. It would be money well spent and would be helping out people in need. What does buying clothes made out of fur achieve? It achieves wasting a lot of money on something that killed innocent animals to be made.
I'm actually torn on this subject. I know, I know, 10 hippie demerit points for me. I don't wear leather or fur, I wear natural fabrics. There, I get hippie points for that, right? The thing is, I would almost rather have people wear leather or fur than wear plastic faux-leather substitutes. I'd really rather outlive my shoes, instead of my politically correct plastic shoes sitting in a landfill for all eternity. Of course, the best situation would be neither wearing fur/leather or plastic. Just wearing earth-friendly biodegradable cloth. Also, I don't believe that there is anything fundementally wrong with killing animals. It is, after all, completely natural for humans to kill animals. In my mind, there is nothing wrong with a Native American killing and eating an animal. The problem arises when people evolve beyond this natural state, at which point we have McDonalds chopping down the rain forest to have space for their McBurgers to graze. Since those of us in the 'civilized' world have a choice of wether to eat animal or to eat a cabbage, and since we're not going out and slaughtering an animal ourselves for dinner, but instead hopping into our air-conditioned minivans and driving to Safeway- it is better (environmentally, morally, physically) to not kill animals. I'm sorry to bring up the raging eating animals discussion again, but I think that the root of the fur discussion is wether or not there is something wrong with killing an animal. I happen to be a vegan who doesn't wear leather or fur, so you might be surprised by my 'nothing morally wrong with killing animals' 'better for Mother Earth for you to wear leather than pleather' stance. The thing is, I've never been into pushing my veiwpoints onto others. If someone is eating a part of a cow in front of me, I'm not going to throw the table across the room and yell 'Murderer!', and if I see someone wearing leather or fur, I'm not going to throw paint on them. I think that people who force their particular moral code on others are extremely rude, and should be more concerned with their particular actions than those of others.
Ok, I understand what you said about the Indians killing animals, but now we have food that is made for vegans. So why not eat it? I think that everyone should at least try to go vegan. Try this site, www.peta2.com . It's what got me started. You have to watch a video called "Free Me". And if you don't at least THINK about not eating meat, there is something wrong with you! I mean it shows them sliceing the cows throat, and it shows them hanging from their legs, swinging around with blood pouring from their neck!
I dont eat meat, but I drink milk. Most tribes made use of all the parts of the animals they killed, and I think that is ok, but Im not sure if they do it anymore. They didnt kill animals inhumanely, like many big corporations do today
