Woodstock is overrated ,If you see the equipment they used the sound must have sucked very badly for me it's The Black Crowes at the Garage in London on february 2nd 1997. one of the very few acoustic shows that the Crowes played and this one had 2 sets with great jams,3 unreleased songs and alot of covers including Gram Parsons's "She" ,"Hot burrito 1&2" & Bob Dylan's "Girl From The North Country"
I was at Woodstock 99. And the sound did suck...the delay was at least 5 seconds. But all in all it is an experience I will never forget. Best memory...Rage Against the Machine is playing and EVERYONE is standing and jumping up and down. To look at a sea of people, all bouncin' together...blew my mind away. Ok, that and the guy that had on only a sock...and you can guess where he was wearing it.
on that note, id like to go to some small club in seattle where nirvana and mudhoney were on the same bill
Concert for Bangladesh- Come on George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, RIngo Starr, Leon Russell, Ravi Shakar....I would've just died. Also The Beatles Rooftop Concert (no way I would go their early shows, I'd be pissed at those teenyboppers for screaming and drowning out my boys) The Who Live at Leeds, because it's such an awesome concert (I have the DVD). Hell, the Who anywhere because they are a good show. The last Who show with Keith. Any Zep concert where they did mostly Zeppelin III numbers because it's my fav. Pink Floyd Gigs at the UFO club. and then later, Pink Floyd's Animals and The Wall Tours. and of course Woodstock. ~Layla
I don't know if this really qualifies for a gig, but I would have loved to have been in the streets when the Beatles were performing their rooftop concert. Or during one of their early shows in Hamburg.Amazing !
Oh god. I'm so sorry. I have no idea why I typed that. I have Isle of Wight actually. Sorry I got your hopes up.le of Wight is a good DVD so if you don't already have it, I suggest getting it. ~Layla
I'll second Bangaladesh Also I would have loved to see Alla Roca Khan I wish I'd been able to get out to High Sierra last July, too.
