"Somebodies and Nobodies" by Robert W. Fuller. all you have to do is review it, and then either pass it on or leave it in a public place for someone to find.. all you have to do is go to http://www.bookcrossing.com/freebook and enter your name & address. They will send it out to you. and while you're there, check out BOOKCROSSING.COM. My favourite website!!!!! Click here to find free books in the wild near you: http://www.bookcrossing.com/hunt cheers!
from what I've heard, all the 'international' copies have been snapped up already. The only ones left are for USA residents.
What's your BC username, hiro? I'm charbono. For an "Intro to Bookcrossing" read this forum thread: http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5086. Basically it works like this: you grab a book, any book, one you love and want to share with the world or one you don't care for and want to get rid of. Go to bookcrossing.com and register it. The site will give you a BCID number which you write somewhere on the book. there are also labels u can download & print to stick on the book, or information brochures / bookmarks which tell people what to do when they find the book. But even as simple as "www.bookcrossing.com BCID:123-456789" is good enough. Other bookcrossers will know what it is. Then, you either give the book to a friend or release it "into the wild" for someone to find. When you do this you make "release notes" on the website, so that on one hand other local bookcrossers can go hunting for the book, and also so that there is a record of where the book was released. Then, just sit back and wait. Sooner or later someone will find your book, hopefully read it, and be curious enough to go to the website and let you know its whereabouts. The movement is still young but the way we're going we literally will 'make the whole world a library' !
My name is emkcra on the site. I found a book I want to find and it is somewhere I know.... it was released into the wild 7 days ago, but how can I be sure that it is still there and that someone else hasn't picked it up?
