I think a train is the best way. To be honest, I'm not sure having never tried. It should be cheapish and I doubt it'd take longer than an hour. If you're really strapped for cash then take a coach/bus. It may be cheaper but it will take a fair bit longer. Hope that helped.

I have a friend in Paris who finds it easier and cheaper to go by train. The Parisian airports are outside the city and the 4 hour train journey from centre to centre is more convenient.

You could also look for a coach.

    www.scnf.fr - for trains
    www.eurolines.com - for coaches

By Thalys from Amsterdam to Paris will cost you 'bout 100 euros. It will take you 4 hours.

If you find a cheap flight, lets say 40 euro's, you always have to count on 50 or 60 euro's taxe. So flying isn't cheaper than going by train. Flying also means that you have to be at the airport a few hours before the plane leaves, so it will take a lot time too, don't forget waiting for your luggage etc. etc.

You can book a train at: www.ns.nl. But you can also book at the station in Amsterdam. But if you know which date you want to go you'd better book your tickets before you're in Amsterdam.

By train is easiest, takes only 4 hours and youre in the city itself. Right now a ticket costs only 65 euro.

I paid 60 euros for a return ticket (paris/amsterdam) a few weeks ago, booked online in advance (about 1 month before).
I went there 3 times by bus (eurolines.com) and twice by train (thalys.com), now I would recommend the train (faster, more reliable, more convenient)
