I live about 40 miles north of ATL in Gainesville, but I haven't been hunting. I was planning on going hunting last week but was told that It wasn't likely that I find what I was looking for this time of year. Not sure if that's true or not, but it's what I was told by a supposed expert on the subject.

Apparently, you can just walk in a cow pasture and look for some shit and eventually find some Cubensis growing. They say that if it's growing on some cow shit, then it is definitely cubensis. Again, not sure if they are growing this time of year.

That's just what I heard about the Georgia area. But I'm not an expert, so you're probably right.

Georgia is a great place to go shroom hunting. Especially right now, seeing as it is mushroom season. There is no way to gaurntee that you wont find poisonious mushrooms, but comparing the spores of your find to spores of the strain you think you found, it should solve your problem.

there are no magic shrooms in Ga this time of year. And yes, many other varieties grow on cow manure there.

july and august is the season. Maybe June, if it's been rainy.

and next year, go south from Hotlanta, or east into Shithole Carolina, not north into the mountains.

If it would just get hot again (It's still supposed to be humid) in Florida...I could still pick shrooms...we had them this time of the year last year...but nothing now :(

You still might be in luck to find wellie. They are lawn mushrooms. There are a couple more like Panaeolus subbalteatus and Psilocybe cubensis. It is nearing the end of the season so hurry up and do some research on what your looking for. Please don't eat any unidentified mushrooms it could be fatal. At the shroomery they will ID any mushroom for you as long as you provide the correct information http://www.shroomery.org/forums/postlist.php/Cat/0/Board/mushID
