How many burned CDs do you own?

since I'm too poor to buy every cd i want, i often rely on burning songs. As of this day, I have made approx. 85 burned cds, How 'bout you?

 

more than bought cds i know that, but i dont count them

 

quite a bit, but not too much, some of them are albums from Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Smashing Pumpkins and The Darkness.

 

i mostly only burn bootlegs... if i like a band enough im usually willing to support them and buy their album

 

i have over a thousand. i had over a thousand back in early september i think, and i've went through two spindles that had 50 blank CDs each since then... some of those i burned for friends though, so yeah.

buying "legit" CDs from big chain stores is such an illogical action.

and hell yes, glad to find a fellow Darkness fan. (actually all of those bands u just listed there are quite good...)

 

I've definitely got more than bought cds anyways. Probably close to 100.

ehm...50, maybe? but I've also got quite a lot downloaded music on my pc. BUT I've got even a lot more bought cd's

 

*l* I only have the "I Am Sam" soundtrack on cdr ,a friend burned me a copy and i didn't like it enough to buy it myself

got alot of cdr's with B-sides ,unreleased albums and studio sessions though,and a collection of over 600 live shows

 

too fucking many to count... upwards of 500 i would say

then buy music from local music stores.. thats what i do... i'll drive 30min to goto this music shop called Def Ear.. but then again.. theres no more record stores in town... unless you're lookin for vinyl

 

I only have 2. Both of them are Deep Forest CD that I burnt from an ex before I kicked him out... lol. To be fair though, my bestfriend manages a record store, so I get CDs for free, or at cost.... and she is a Nazi when it comes to burning CD's! Hates them!

I also really love the extras that come with buying a CD. The cover art, the liner notes, the whole excitement of unwrapping it and seeing the CD surface and what is behind the CD when you pull it out. I'm a painter who loves music, so it makes sence that the visual aspect would be important to me, eh?

 

I've got hundreds of CD's worth of music on my Computer just waiting to be downloaded to my iPod I'm hopefully gonna buy within the coming months.

 

there's a Def Ear about 30 minutes from me too.

but come on, nobody can honestly believe that the $15 or however much they spend on any cd, unless they buy it from the artist themselves, will find its way back to the artist.

its not like you can really steal music, anyway... the only way you can steal music is if you take someone else's lyrics or music and claim them as your own... other than that, music is in the air, man. you cant steal air just like you cant steal music that's already been played and released into the airwaves.

 

it would be easier to ask how many not burned ones i have.

i'd say about 95% of my cds are burned.

 

Probably about 1/8 of the cds I own are burned.. I prefer the original cds because its nice to have the case and the whole bit..
