I laughed on the name also... but the other day I saw his video on tv from the song "you're beautiful", and the sound of his voice and the melody got to me, and the video.. woo, it's so simple, but you feel it. So I went and said.. let's see what else he has, and downloaded his album "Back to Bedlam" and I love it, I haven't heard it all. I'm playing it as I write and I'm liking every song. So check it out ppl. I think you'll like it.
His music is okay but he's hyped. He's the latest in thing now but in a year from now no-one will talk about him anymore.
i think he's ok...but the best thing about him is the comedy value of a guy with the last name Blunt singing a song called High - oh how I giggled.
I dont think he's hyped, or maybe that is because im disconnected from everything.. but I have only seen his video in this argetinian music channel, they barely show it, and nobody I have asked knows him.. but that's here.

A simple way to not get annoyed by how much music is overplayed, I find, is to stop watching music channels and not listen to the radio. I like James Blunt. He's pretty good. Goodbye My Lover gets me everytime.
that's exactly what i do. Music channels and radio have the power to ruin really good music by playing it and playing and playing.
I think 'You're Beautiful' is ok.. but the rest of the album is rubbish. His voice reeeaaally annoys me
He drives me nuts, I've heard the album (it's played in a cafe I frequent). You're beautiful sounds like he has Tourettes.. so i was talking to this girl, I figured BEAUTIFUL she'd like to go BEAUTIFUL to the cinema.... Not my cup of tea...
i belive he wrote the song "good bye my lover" trying to quit smokin, when u listen to it, and asosiate it with it. its there. peace
HAHAHA. I agree 100 percent. This song makes me cringe. Have you ever listened to what he is singing about? He has a girlfriend, and the girl he sees is with someone, and he writes a song whining about how sad it is to think he'll never be with her. How pathetic.
Alright, I don't want to come off like a jackass but anyone who listens to James Blunt probably has crappy taste in music (Unless it's one of your rare guilty pleasures.) MTV really gave him a good push, too--Which is telling you something.
