it wouldn't really make any difference if he PRETENDED to care, when you really think about it. all that would accomplish is getting people to not yell at him. better to be honest. let people know where you really are.

Well good for him if he doesnt (I pitty the stupid fuck), but I'd say the more people who do and speak out then the more difference it would make.

oh absolutely. but still, can't really go to verbally abusing someone in a bad spot. doesn't exactly help them out of it.

well, when i was suffering depression, you could be bleeding from your eyes in front of me and i'd feel nothing. as he said, i'd be "oddly remorseful," but in a more clinical sense. i'd sorta feel bad because i knew i AUGHT to, but in terms of emotional response, there really wouldn't be anything there. his following statement, after sophia jumped him over that, the no one cares if something bad happens to him, is clearly an indication of depression. jumping on him for something that seems to be of some concern to him is pretty calloused in it's own way, dontcha think? are we only to reserve our patience and compassion for certain people but not others? that's not a very peaceful action, i don't think. though you may be right. shocking someone out of their mental and emotional limbo may work, but as with my own response, rage is most likely going to be the first thing that breaks out.

Hey sorry, but fuck depression its small minded, bigger things going on in this world, might be something to be more depressed about if that kind of shit happened to people that were closer and not somewhere it didnt mater.

Being human. Novel. Alright lets start with the beginning. Humanity. I could have sworn, ashers, that what I did was exactly what you were asking me to do. I was being human. I have, unfortunately as you seem to have woken a really poor loser, a swelling feeling that you have no fucking clue what it means to be human.

A human ought to [according to you, bitchface]

Alrighty, asshers,[by the way, join isn't spelt with a 't' nor is the without the 't', tit] what I should be doing is caring about people in this world.
I notice you failed to qualify "people in this world" with the word "all".

Assface, how have I shown at all in this thread, or any other, that what I am doing is not "caring about people in this world"?

Realistically you have absolutely no basis to assert what you have.

    That makes my life easier.

Cause I thought for a second that maybe, just maybe, you posted somthing that a titty wouldn't. But you haven't. Thus everything you said applies to you. Tit.

I was hoping that I'd be able to come back with something physophical [hmm, well done. You really have the winners wit about you! Physophical ... thats gold dude]. Nor do I think I will have to.

How come you didn't send me money when I was homeless?

Sorry kid, but that simply ain't true. You know that word altruism? It doesn't exist. If you want to talk about it [and I mean if you really want to talk about it, otherwise just shut the fuck up] then give me an argument for the pro. I will, I promise you, [with my good friend OSF] show you that you actually know shit.

The world will not go under when people stop caring about eachother. sOFIAs, people have never cared about one another. They are incapable of such a feat.

Why do you send donations knowing full well that the corrupt steal them?

    Please respond to this photodude.

    Pity is spelt pity.

    I don't pretend that I care because I don't care.

I don't care because it is impossible for me to do so. There are more pressing issues at hand. The simple fact that you value the earthquake in india and pakistan more than I value what has just happened to me doesn't mean shit.

All it means is that what you value is higher up on your list of values than my values are on that same list. How [and with honest to goodness truth] can you expect any other to value the same things you do?

Keep well in mind that you don't value everything, as I pointed out in an earlier post.

Since you do not value everything, and thus do not have a hierarchy of things to be valued, you must fall trap to the relativist conundrum. That is to say you must value some things over other things for reasons that are personal and not universal. That is, unless you can show to me with perfect validity that the people in india deserve the same percentage of my resources than does my mother who is dying of cancer. Are you prepared enough to argue Feminist Ethics with me? I know you aren't so please, don't try. OSF might get mad.

Now, if you are, try to show me that some things deserve more of my resources than does my own mother. Then you have shown me the very reason you can not demand such a thing. As such a demand would show, conversely, that my poor mother deserves more than the poor indian kid.

You may 'pitty' this stupid fuck, but please pardon him. As the same reason you 'pitty' him is the reason he refuses to help the poor earthquake victims.

But then again, you obviously skipped the "Blink" post.

Are you kidding? You didn't really just post that did you? Wow .. it really must be nice to be you.
Of course there might be something more to be depressed about if my brother died in an earthquake. Don't you see that the very thing you argued here is the very thing you were arguing against earlier? You'd be depressed if your family was forced into the same circumstances that the poor people of india were forced into, by natural selection. As would I. Just to simplify that, you'd be pissed if your family perished of natural causes. My family is dying of natural causes. I have to wonder if you are pissed about the earthquake or the people? Cause when I get mad about it, it isn't because of the cancer, it is because my mom has it. And if you're pissed about the earthquake, how come you're spending your money on the internet which lets you converse with me about this, instead of the earthquake fund. And if you're going to give me shit about not caring about pressing issues, then how come you are wasting your money paying for internet instead of giving it to cancer research?

You could save my mom, Ashers.

To each his own Ashers. I got shit to deal with HERE.

I'm glad [not sarcastically, but sincerely] that you don't have to deal with the shit I do.

You're a better person than I, because you can care about the poor people in India.

WOW so guys! LOL where do we go from here?
The one thing I have noticed thru out all of the above posts is EVERY one of you cares about others and I think that's what it's all about.
Talk Show Host cares about his Mom and Family and others care about the Earth Quake Victims.
So I'm thinking you are all VERY VERY GUILTY of CARING for other people.
Isn't that what it's all about anyway? We are all saying the same thing here really.
And as far as The Ass Hole OSF- I think we should all kick your ass in for just posting what you did on here.
This Thread Is Closed. Peace The Wiz
