Follow your heart, guy! If this girl is writing poetry to cry for, you should be asking her about motivation and influence! I'd say a simple "thanks for helping me feel this way!" would be all the poetry she needs from you!! (you may have just found a teacher worth paying attention to...)
Thanks for the tip inbloom. No rules sounds good to me. KNOWUNZELF, you are right, and she surprised me with a visit late last night. I had been reading another of her poems, and so I just held her and thanked her for sharing such beautiful and amazing words with me. You are right, she could feel that I was overwhelmed by them, I told her that I had cried when reading them. That was all of the thanks that she needed. I suppose that sometimes words are not needed. She did say that she wished she could take photographs like I do. So I'm going to help her with her photography and she with my poetry. Lifes great!
