Has anyone litter trained a bunny before? Any steps, or suggestions on how to do this? My roomate and I were thinking of getting a bunny. We live in a condo, so it would primarily be an indoor bunny. Anyway of also training a bunny not to eat the plants? Most people laugh when I ask this, so I'm assuming bunny sees green bunny chews?
That's awesome, rabbits are great companions (I have two). It's best to adopt two (they crave the companionship); a neutered boy and girl works best. I'm sure there a proper way to do it, but we just worked out which area of hutch our rabbits used as a bathroom then put the litter tray there. They soon figured it out to go there and [nearly] always use the tray when it's put in diffrent rooms. http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/rabcare.html#litter (articles about litter training) Not sure about house plants, as we don't have any. Make sure they aren't posionus for rabbits, just in case. They might not really care if you give them plenty of snacks and supervision. My stepmom used to have a bunny that was litter trained. She said it would always get up on her bed and she would wake up to it chewing on her hair
