So, here is another question. How do you know when you can't breastfeed anymore, I mean when it becomes a problem for the both of you? Also, how do you know when your milk dries up? Can your milk dry up, and still have at least a little bit coming out?

Do you think your milk is drying up? And why?

You know when your boobs are full of milk they get hard, well when Skye goes to eat and he says that he is done, they are still hard. I don't know how you can tell, I was just wondering.

oh! have you tried massaging the base of your breasts? sometimes my breasts would get so full that the hindmilk just wouldn't let loose, and kai would get tired of trying to get it out and quit feeding. so i started giving my boobs a real good rub before feeding my daughter and it worked great.

So they still feel full after a full feeding? KC has good advice, give them a good rub down with some warm olive oil before nursing to help empty them.

If you are not producing, your baby will be irritable and hungry constantly, he will wet less diapers, poo infrequently, and will look dehydrated. The soft spots can become sunken.

How are things today? It's very rare for your milk to dry up unless your supplementing with formula. Sometimes pacifiers and bottles can do it too though. How old is your son again? Babes go through growth spurts at like 2 weeks, 6 weeks, etc.. I forget exactly when. They'll seem to just nurse constantly, and that's normal! They just want to up your supply to provide for their growing bodies :) If you're worried about your milk, you could try a "nurse in". Stay in ebd with babe for 2 days. Nurse, nurse, nurse that babe. Give no bottles or paci's. Snuggle, nurse, snuggle, nurse. Have hub bring you food and water and magizines and pull the tv in your bedroom. Stay in bed and nurse. That'll do the trick :)
