Well, we've got to protect ourselves, but that is saddening.

 

..and now think of the major producers of them weapons and the special interests they may have in seein the world in conflict!

 

Usually, countries don't build up militaries to "defend" themselves.

 

It's disgusting and yet somehow not all that surprising considering the condition of the world today. Now the question is what are we going to do about it?

 

We have yet to hear the government admit a weapon is for offensive purposes. They claim everything is defensive. The Department of War even changed it's name to Department of Defense to make itself look better.

Sorry but anytime I think of war I think of the old woman crying saying (not exact) "why are they killing our people, why? there are no soldiers here, only my family, and my neibours, and my friends, why!"

 

All I can say is, it's a sad world.

 

it is sad that the most money is spent on weapons for the purpose of "defense". i also love how they called a nuclear missle the government developed which could split into 20 different nukes was called a peacekeeper. why the hell would you need to nuke 20 different locations killing milliions of innocent people to keep the peace. that makes so much sense

 

nah, we'd just hit below the belt anyway

 

I think there is a huge difference between defending yourself then spending the amount some states do on weapons, i just think of the problems that money could've helped, but its a sad world full of people who think that state protection is the most important thing
