I think it's pretty weird to enjoy cutting yourself on glass, and I also must question the truth of your story. Glass doesn't cut you up that easily, not accidentally. You may get a splinter or so, but if you walk normally across glass, not shuffling/sliding your feet but stepping lightly and pretty straight up & down, you can walk across glass without getting 'ripped apart'. I rarely if ever walk around it if there's broken glass anywhere in a parking lot or on the street and I don't get more than one or two tiny splinters per year.

I think the clue is in the last line. You can never tell what those Gallic nutters are going to be up to next. ;)

Myself, I've cut myself on glass on occasion but only when I've been on shedloads of it. Generally if I'm just walking around I can mostly avoid it, and what I don't avoid won't cut me just be stepping on it. The only times I've cut myself were when I was in an Australian theme bar in Ibiza, dancing on a floor covered in broken class (it was just a little nick though, and I'd been watching myself very carefully the whole time - wasn't there for very long as it was just one stop on a pub crawl that night), and also once when late at night I'd got into a river that ran alongside the pub we were in where a friend had dropped her mobile phone. There had been a lot of broken glass thrown into the water and I managed to cut myself whilst feeling around for the phone as I couldn't see anything at that time of night. That was a pretty nasty cut but it was completely healed within a couple of weeks.

Those two are real exceptions though - you've got to go out of your way (as I suppose I did) to cut yourself on glass. And no, to answer the other question, I don't enjoy cutting myself, I'm not one of those self-mutilating grebby attention-seeking (dare I include sheepshagging? probably not) loonies.
