I've actually seen that done before....a few of my friends had designs literally sewn into their skin. They considered it a body mod. I couldn't do that...it makes me cringe to even think it lol.

eh...if that's what people wanna do, let 'em go...they're not seriously hurting themselves...it could be worse.

Your should try and find something else to keep you entertained. You said its kinda a release...man thats called body mutalation not modification. Hurting yourself for the pain to release you sound like something a 14 year old gothic emo kid would say to "release the pain thats haunting your broken heart." Please. Have some respect for your body.

i thought the same thing....it dosnt seem like he's modifying his body, unless he means the scars left behind.

i agree if you just doing it for "fun" or "release" it is pointless and in the end you will just be hurting yourself, before you do something like this again think why am i doing it...

As open minded as I am...this kinda scares me.

If you really need a release, maybe you should try something a little less harmful to yourself. Paint? Photography? Poetry? Sword fighting? I don't know...just my opinion.

When I was in high school people would do such things along with safety pins and run around showing us thinking they would get a reward or something. Like it was cool, all they got was a disgusting smirk and a slap on that old wound of theirs.

Its called play piercing. Piercing for the sake of piercing. I'm not into it, but it seems to me to be as valid a reason as "it looks good." Keep in mind that a few decades ago, tattoos elicited this kind of shock, and body piercings were unheard of in the western world.

Anyway, if you do decide to do this again, I'd recommend something other than actual thread. Suture material or even fishing line will be safer. Thread is porous, catches bacteria and shtuff, and poses a big infection risk.

Check out bmezine.com for some more info on play piercing/lip sewing/ stapling and any other weird ass body mod you can think up.

    Peace

yeah been on bme a little bit.. was looking at ordering a box of hypodermic needles as the small amount of play piercing ive done hasnt been the most hygenic, ie the thread.. was the only thing i could find at the time..

but yeah, i find it amusing that somebody piercing their arm disgusts most people, but someone permenantly marking most of their body in ink is perfectly acceptable..
