Have done, to get an understanding of Christianity and such, particually when I dabbled in it once or twice as a kid.

Was raised by pathetic excuses for Anglicans (in that they never went to church or anything, they're wonderful people) so had a few copies lurking around the house.

Do still have a copy, more for sentimental value as it was a gift. Will look up quotes sometimes, or flick through some of the laws for a laugh. Though never actually use it as a religious text in the traditional sense as I'm not Christian.

Like most non-believers, I have read the bible. Parts of it were quite good. Could never quite understand which set of rules one was supposed to follow though.

I've read it, but I enjoyed 'Charlie & the Chocolate Factory' better.

i always understood the "rules" as being more guidelines than anything.. there are certainly common trends throughout the bible, that follow in most moral teachings in the world... unless you look through leviticus, which is just crazyness, proving to us that we can't achieve perfection in god's eyes, which in where jesus comes into play.... (or that's how i always understood it myself)

to answer the OP question, i have read the bible, well, a big chunk of it, but i dont' read it anymore. actually i should probably browse through it again soon. i used to be quite interested and bought loads of stuff to study it with. it's very interesting, and ppl's interpretations of scripture are amazing. i enjoy it.

I have read almost all of the Street Bible, will finish it soon, my Christian ex girlfriend recommended I read the Street Bible first as it would be a lot easier to read, and it is and it is rather amusing and a good read. I wanted to learn more about Christianity and reading it has certainly given me a lot more respect for people and their beleifs. :)

They should do a comic book version of it. They could use DC characters for the old testament and Marvel characters for the new.

That way Superman and Wonder Woman can be Adam and Eve, Batman will be Moses and The Joker will play Satan, oh and Lex Luther will be that nasty Pharaoh geeza.

Then Spider Man can play JC and Doctor Octopus can be Pontius Pilate. They can use Manhatan instead of Jerusalem and Gotham City for Bethlehem.

Then they can do a sequel with other characters from Spawn, Sin City and V for Vendetta.

You know I truly think that concept would sell. You might want to storyboard it up and see what you could do with it. It is just tilted enough to be big.

I started, and had to skip about half of Genesis, because there were a great many pages of names, just names. The Jesus parts are great though.
