nope. It'll be warped, and if you end up with stretch marks it'll have cracks running through it.

You can always get it redone but my advice is, don't worry about the future. If you want a tatt then get one. Why not? I'm sure if you have kids things will be fine but why put it off if you want it? Live for now :) You won't die if your tatt gets a little wonky later. I always think of the worst case scenario and i'm sure you'll live if you get a tatt first.

p.s Try googling pregnant ladies with tatts [IMG]

It really depends on how well the tattoo is done, how much weight you gain, and how well you baby the skin during and after pregnancy. Most likely, a tattoo on the tummy will get a little weird.

My recommendation is to ask your tattoist about position the tattoo to minimize the risk of distortion/streching. If its a huge concern of yours, consider getting the ink somewhere else.

Its true that you won't die from a screwy tattoo, but it would be nice to avoid it if possible.

    Peace

I have one that goes right along the bikini line...its right where they cut you when you have a c-section. Anyway...I got it after my first c-section and when I got prego again I was so worried that it was gonna look like poo...but they cut through it and it almost went back to normal...there is a faint white line through it...but there was no stretching. I agree with what the other person said...you can get it touched up...and you can always turn it into something bigger if you wanna cover some stretch marks...hopefully you will not get any though...peace...and good luck

The design may get stretched and therefore after the pregnancy it may have faded a little or be a bit distorted. My advice would be to get the tattoo then simply go back to a studio and get the design touched up after the pregnancy.

    fallendreamer,
when you do get pregnant, try not to gain too much weight and constantly rub cocoa butter on your tummy, it helps you not get stretch marks. i used it during all three of my pregnancies and only have a couple of stretch marks, just small one's.
