that reminds me of the report of a child who was crushed to death by a falling church bell on his way into church. talk about keepin holy the sabbath
Somebody already posted that. Thanks anyways. ( I don't know why that thing happened with the pastor, maybe He was just in for the money....but I seriously don't know...)
Well, He's not a priest.- He's a pastor. And yes, if one manipulates and controls the tithing ( keeping it all for himself) He can get really wealthy off it. ( but He probably won't anyways, even if he thinks so, since G-d won't give him favour in things like that...)
What do you mean you don't know why? Bad shit happens to good people all the time. This guy was doing a stupid thing, we're all taught from an early age that water and electricity don't mix and not to combine the two. Not that I think it's good that he died, I think it really sucks. But still, it's not a big mystery. God doesn't protect the faithful any more than the unfaithful. Death smiles on us all.
No, he doesn't. Clearly there are millions, nay, BILLIONS, of christians out there. Even figuring that all of them aren't "good" christians, there's still an assload of faithful believers out there. So, not only does everyone die, but everyone experiences pain, misery, rejection, and other assorted bad things. Fervent belief in God doesn't stop those things, and it's extremely naive to posit such a notion. Keep in mind, lots of Christians in Latin America and Africa believe very strongly, they are often the most devout, but they still suffer extreme poverty, hunger, disease, and war. Moreso, actually, than us wayward rich westerners who don't focus on God as much.
