Stoners and stoner parents! How will you/do you handle your kids?

all of this hypothetical, as I do not have kids nor do I really plan on having any (but I guess thats what they all say.... =S)

1. What is your reaction?

Apple don't fall far from the tree.

2. How do you deal with it?

Touch base with him/her and find out how often/much they smoke. If my kid is younger than 17ish, I'd say to cool it for a few years. Otherwise I'd tell them as long as they keep their grades up and be responsible and stay out of trouble, I wish them the best of highs. Make sure they respect the herb and not abuse it. That and I'm open to talk anytime.

3. What are future ground rules for bud?

Grades before pot and as I said, be careful and responsible about it. Hopefully by the time my kids are smoking it will be legal. If it isn't, though, they can only smoke in the house when its not so obvious to me. That way if shit hits the fan, I tell the cops I had no idea my kids were smoking in the house, and they'll have no way to prove otherwise. One thing my dad always threatens is how I can't smoke in the house because he has too much to risk, and while on one hand its rediculous, I can also see how its true. This country is so idiotic that the gov't can just step in and take your house, money, and children over an herb.
